However, all three films combined grossed just shy of a half billion dollars at the box office – a modest success by today’s standards. None of the films received any notable awards. Starring Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella and director Alex Kurtzman, The Mummy (2017) will be released in theaters June 9th.
